Ian Birchley first began conducting guided motorcycle tours for Japanese customers in 1989 when he began Australian Motorcycle Adventures. Those were pioneering days
in the motorcycle tours industry but the business went on to successfully run tours to Cape York, Uluru, and the Simpson Desert and many others.
However, a desire for more things Japanese led Ian back to school where he completed a Bachelor of International Business with concentration on Japanese language and
including six months study at a Japanese University. An 18-month stay, living and working in Japan followed before he finally heading back home to Australia.
Now with nearly four decades of motorcycling experience and two decades since commencing motorcycle tours and learning all about Japanese language, business and
culture there would be few better qualified or able to take you on a ride through Japan’s scenic beauty, its culture and peoples.
